Salvation Through Jesus Christ

For those who may be visiting this web site who are not believers, Jesus said "I and the Father are one." He also said, "If you know me you know the Father." Jesus claims to be (and is) God and it is to Jesus that we pray. He will not answer any of your prayers until He first answers your prayer for salvation. No sin is so great that Jesus cannot or will not forgive it.

To put this to the test, consider the Apostle Paul. Before he became a believer in Jesus Christ he was a terrorist. He hunted down Christians and killed them or had others kill them. He was a murderer of the believers in Jesus Christ. Paul said of himself, I am the chiefmost sinner.

The Bible says that we were born into sin. In other words from the moment we were born we were destined for Hell. For without that salvation the Bible says we will receive the wages of sin, those wages being eternal death and suffering.

Jesus said that God is love and in that love He will not force you to believe in His Son Jesus Christ. He, in his infinite love, will allow you to choose Hell over Heaven. God did not create us as robots, but instead His desire is that we love Him. You say, "How could a God who is love allow someone to go to Hell?" The Bible says that God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, so that whosoever believed on Him should have everlasting life. That is a God who loves us. God came down from heaven giving up His glory to be born as a man, live as a man and to die on the cross for our sins. That is love.

If you have never asked Jesus to forgive you of your sins, now would be a great time. Would you allow Jesus to heal your soul? If you simply believe that Jesus is the Son of God and ask Him for forgiveness of your sins He will be gracious and show you mercy.

Repentance

However, simply believing that Jesus is the Son of God is not enough, because (according to the Bible) even the demons acknowledge that Jesus is the Son of the Living God. You must repent in addition to asking for forgiveness.

Some say that repentance is comparable to a man who is walking in one direction (sin) and then turns and walks in the opposite direction (following Jesus). They say that repentance is "acting differently". They are also wrong.

Repentance is not "acting differently", but rather it is "thinking differently." So when we ask for forgiveness of sins we must also allow Jesus to be our Lord or leader if you will. By allowing Jesus to be our Lord, we then begin to do His will and not our own, because we are allowing Him to show us what to do. This then will change our thinking and if our thinking is different, our actions will be different.

Conviction

If you are feeling the Holy Spirit tug on your heart right now, that is God trying to tell you that you need Him and it's called conviction. At this point all you have to do is to ask Jesus to forgive you of your sins andask Him to become Lord (or Leader) of your life. Ask Him to change your heart and your mind so that you know His will for your life. He will be just to forgive you of your sins and He will bring joy and peace to your heart as you experience His grace.

May God bless all who read this page and may He show His eternal Love, Grace and Mercy to all who seek Him.
